Light Classic Meals were introduced at the Viaduct a couple of years ago solely to provide a nourishing lunch time meal.
Popular Classics such as Sausage & Mash, Vegetarian Lasagne, Chicken Tikka masala were provided with the option of choosing smaller portions resulting in a smaller Charge of 4.95. A free drink of either a small Pepsi or Lemonade made it a great package for lunch time.
Due to popular demand by customers returning for dinner, we decided to introduce these options throughout the day. This move has resulted in us gaining a wider base of customers with different needs such as those looking for a healthier snack, weight watching etc.
This has also proved quite popular with wallets and Purses being tightened as a result of the current Economic situation.
Out of a group of say 10 customers, we invariable see a couple of customers choosing the lighter options. We have also seen an uplift during warmer days on these options as fluids are consumed more than solids. All in all, a popular choice.
